Tuesday 19th December - Normal practice night
Christmas Eve, Sunday 24th December - Ringing from 10am for the 10.45am Service
- Possible Quarter Peal at 4pm for the Crib Service
- Ringing from 11pm for the 11.30pm Midnight Mass
Christmas Day, Monday 25th December - Ringing from 9.15am for the 10am Service
Tuesday 26th December - No practice
Sunday 31st December - Ringing from 10am for the 10.45am Service
- Ringing from 11.15pm (half-muffled) and open ringing after midnight
ROLL OF HONOUR Updated - 11 men and one woman killed in action added to the Roll of Honour up to the end of 1919. This brings a total of 64 men and one woman from the village killed in World War I. It is our intention that a quarter peal will be rung on or around the date of their death to mark the ultimate sacrifice made by these local men and women.
The band from Writtle finished in fourth place in the Essex Association 6 Bell Striking Competition held at Colne Engaine on Saturday 8th July. Two members of the local band rang in South Eastern District band in the Inter-District 8 Bell Striking Competition at Earls Colne later that day where they were placed first.
